Gel Matic Story #2: kiosks in the Royal Parks
Interview with Ernesto Colicci, “EC Soft Ice” owner

«This is a catering company called EC Soft Ice, and we work in Royal Parks. In total the company has got 45 kiosks, all of which have Gel Matic soft serve machines. Gel Matic machines are absolutely exceptional, there is no stop in production, and the capability is unbelievable. In this particular kiosk here, sometimes very busy, we manage to give something like 4000 maybe even 5000 servings a day.
We also run an ice cream site outside Kensington Gardens, where is no power, no generator is allowed, no engine is allowed. We came up with the idea to develop some kind of a battery power that would sustain the Gel Matic soft serve machine.
What I did, I phoned Gel Matic, they came over, and suggested a compressor and a motor that in this particular machine manage a very slow start. The performance of this soft serve machine is the same as any other electrical countertop units. We are very, very pleased with it.
English people as well as tourists absolutely love soft serve. 90% of the product is pure milk from Jersey cows. The quality is excellent, the product is very creamy, very good, and people like it.»
