27-30 NOVEMBER 2011 - MIG - LONGARONE
Every year at the beginning of winter since 1959 Longarone (Belluno) becomes the gelato capital, drawing the attention of ice cream makers from all over the world.
Today it represents not only the main point of reference for the gelato makers of the historical Valley of Zoldo and Cadore, but also for the ones from all over the world, as demonstrated by the annual presence of over 30.000 operators, half of them coming from abroad.
During the opening days, international conferences and meetings on topical subjects are held, and famous competitions such as the “Coppa d'Oro”, at its 42nd edition, and the “Festival d’Autore”. Moreover, there are the delivery of the “Sweetest Website Award”, given to the best web-sites of gelato stores and the “Mastri Gelatieri” award, given yearly to a family or person who contributed to the gelato diffusion all over the world.

Ogni anno, dal 1959, agli inizi dell'inverno, Longarone (Belluno) diventa la capitale del gelato e richiama gelatieri da tutte le parti del mondo.
La fiera diventa un riferimento fondamentale non solo per i gelatieri dell’area storica della Valle di Zoldo e del Cadore, ma, come testimoniano le 30.000 presenze annuali, delle quali quasi la metà costituite da operatori stranieri in rappresentanza di una cinquantina di Paesi, anche per i gelatieri di tutto il mondo.
Nel corso delle giornate di apertura si tengono convegni su temi di stretta attualità, incontri e alcuni concorsi internazionali entrati ormai nella storia della rassegna, dalla Coppa d’Oro, giunta alla 42° edizione, al Festival d’Autore. Da segnalare inoltre la consegna del premio “Gelaterie in web”, assegnato ai migliori siti internet delle gelaterie, e del premio “Mastri Gelatieri”, assegnato ogni anno a una famiglia o a un personaggio che abbia contribuito alla promozione del gelato artigianale nel mondo
